Over 13,000 Masonic Lodges in the U.S. AND Medford is One of the BEST! Spearheaded by Past Worshipful Master Tom Wright (2007) and with the efforts of many of the Brethren of Medford Lodge, especially Brother Alex Negy, Medford Lodge #178 has been awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Award! While much work went into preparing the extensive propsal for the selection committee, none of it would have been possible without dedication, participation AND contributions made by all of our members in all of the community activities and events upon which this award is based! The Masonic Information Center (MIC) enthusiastically introduces the Mark Twain Masonic Awareness Award. Up to 50 lodges may win the Twain award. The goal of the award is two-fold: - The MIC intends for the Twain Award to recognize those lodges, regardless of size, that demonstrate energy, innovation and creativity communicating the values of Freemasonry as suggested in the MIC report, It’s About Time.
- Lodge participation in the Twain Award means signing up as early as March 2006 to benefit from a MIC-sponsored communications forum, the Twain Award Participant Forum, designed to bring lodges closer together through Internet resources. The Twain Forum links lodges with Masonic resources through online forums, chat rooms, listservs, and emails. Using improved communications, lodges across North America can share with each other new and exciting ways of bringing Freemasonry into the social fabric of the community.

As 2008 begins under the Leadership of Worhshipful Master Conrad Dombkiewicz, we will continue show Medford Lodges’ good effects among our community! Medford Lodge #178 of Free & Accepted Masons had an incredible year of excitement and progress under the leadership and vision of Worship Master Tom Wright and his officers. Carrying forward with many of the initiatives laid down by our past Worshipful Master John Ellor, we have completed projects carried over from his term and continued the great progress of our lodge. To all of this, we were only able to reach our goals through the generous donations, dedication and hard work of the Bretheren of Medford Lodge. We have also met our objectives of reaching out to members and soliciting their participation in all Lodge activities, increasing community awareness of our Lodge, bringing our charitable endeavors to those in need and improving all aspects of our grand building. We have continued to participate in many of the Masonic functions held throughout the state and within our community.. |
